We are now located in Warragul; in the heart of Gippsland Gourmet Country.

Our relocation is not only for lifestyle choice for our family, but to provide many new benefits to our clientele and Porsche friends.

Warragul is situated approximately 90 kilometres east of Melbourne. It is an easy drive along the Princes Freeway (M1) from the city. Now that the Pakenham bypass has been completed, there are no traffic lights to contend with at all!

V-Line trains run regularly from the Warragul station to Melbourne and in the opposite direction to Bairnsdale. A First Class service is offered throughout the day with catering and bar facilities. The Warragul station is located an easy walking distance from our new premises; why not give your car a run down the freeway to us and then return home in the comfort of a V-Line train?

We now also offer a pick-up and delivery service into metro Melbourne and to Tullamarine airport for our country and interstate clients. For a small fee, we can meet you at a mutually convenient time and location to collect and/or deliver your car - how easy is that!

The benefits:

• Our new location means many monetary savings for us; savings which we are passing onto you. We have substantially reduced our labour rates and also now offer a special labour only rate if you wish to provide all or most of your parts.
• Roadtesting opportunities - we are less than 5 minutes from the Princes Freeway allowing us to roadtest at a legal limit of 110kph. We can also test and tune your car utilising the many Porsche-perfect country roads surrounding Warragul.
• A small workshop; more compact than our previous premises means we book fewer jobs at any one time; resulting in faster completion times.
• A new state of the art multi-stage GPRS security system means your car is fully secured within our workshop.
• We have examined every cost and have sought to delete any now surplus overheads. We now give to you a no-frills, no 'bling' service. Our workmanship, abilities and passion for our craft speak for themselves - we don't rely on image in our business; but in delivering the best workmanship we can at excellent prices.

The REALLY fun benefits:

• Warragul is nestled between the Baw Baw Ranges to the north and the Strezlecki Ranges to the southeast. The area is breathtakingly beautiful; lush rolling green hillsides as far as the eye can see. Within minutes in almost any direction we have a plethora of choices of great country drives...taking in boutique wineries, local cheeseries, fresh berry farms, free range meats etc.
• Natural beauties are plentiful. Toroongo Falls, Glen Nayook, Mt Baw Baw are all within easy driving distance.
• Art galleries, festivals, craft markets, Yarragon Village; the list goes on and on...

You can drop your car to us, bring the family car (and family) along too and we'll supply all you need in the way of maps, things to do and great places to see in the area for a truly wonderful day out. If you wish to collect your car upon completion of repairs and would like to enjoy a scenic route home, we would be more than happy to make suggestions. The new Spyder Automobiles way of trading:

• The workshop is by appointment only and the physical address with location map is available upon request.
• EFTPOS facilities are no longer offered (surplus overhead - now deleted!)
• Methods of payment accepted:
  • Cash is always welcomed
  • Direct Bank transfer is always welcomed
  • MasterCard and Visa are welcome and carry a 1.5% surcharge
  • Cheques are accepted only by prior arrangement and at our discretion
  • PayPal is welcome for overseas transactions and carries a 3% surcharge
• In order to keep our rates as low as possible, we cannot offer credit terms. All work is performed on a strictly COD basis.
• We now have several secure storage locations for our rare spare parts stock, so enquiries may not be answered immediately.
• We cater for all air-cooled models from 356 to 3.2 Carrera. Please enquire for water-cooled model service and repairs.

Vehicle Insurance and Registration requirements:

As has always been the case, our insurance policy covers us (and your car) for "goods in custody and control". This means that if we are found to be negligent or at fault in case of accident, our insurers shall cover the costs of repairs etc. We strongly advise and recommend that you maintain fully comprehensive insurance cover for all risks on your vehicle(s) as in the unlikely event of any mishap we will only be liable if deemed to be at fault by our insurers.

As is the legal requirement all vehicles must be currently registered and display the correct year registration label. All vehicles must also display the correct and legible number plates affixed to both front and rear of the vehicle. Why are we noting this you may ask? Under Victorian Road Laws it is the DRIVER, not the registered owner of the vehicle who incurs the hefty fines and loss of demerit points if a penalty is incurred for these offences. Most importantly, there is no Transport Accident Cover on unregistered or incorrectly identified vehicles. As repairers we cannot and will not accept the risk of driving an unregistered or incorrectly identified vehicle. Please ensure your car registration is paid, the correct registration label and number plates for that vehicle are affixed before you ask us to drive your car.
